27 Jul CMR substances. New amendment to the regulation of toxic substances in cosmetics

The European Commission has approved a new Regulation concerning the use of CMR substances (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, or Toxic) in cosmetic products. On July 19, 2023, the Commission adapted Regulation (2023/1490), which amends Annex II of the Cosmetic Products Regulation to include substances classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction, in accordance with Delegated Regulation (2022/692).
